Location and region

Kappelrodeck nestles at the foot of the Black Forest National Park region and is part of the sun-kissed Ortenau wine and gourmet region. The holiday flat with a view is located on the hillside floor of a two-family house in a quiet top location.

 

From the very first moment, you will be enchanted by the marvellous panoramic view of the Rhine plain and the lovely landscape with vineyards, forests and the Vosges mountains. The orchards are a feast for the eyes, especially when they are in bloom. Numerous paths invite you to go walking, hiking, jogging, Nordic walking or cycling for all types of bikes. 

 

The village centre and train station are only a 15-minute walk away. There you will find supermarkets, cafés, restaurants and a heated outdoor pool. Exciting excursions into the beauty of nature and events are on offer in the Black Forest National Park at any time of year. Winter has its very own charm with the numerous Christmas markets in the area, the Black Forest cosiness and the lovable Kappelrodecker Fasnacht carnival.

If you fancy a city break, there are attractive places to visit within 30 to 45 minutes by car. The UNESCO World Heritage city of Baden-Baden (one of the Great Spas of Europe) attracts visitors with its first-class festival theatre, Roman spa culture and top gastronomy. Strasbourg in neighbouring Alsace, with its medieval cathedral and French way of life, is the seat of the European Parliament. The EUROPA PARK in Rust, which has been awarded the title of best leisure park in the world, is also just three quarters of an hour's drive away.

 

Visit the Mummelsee and our local mountain Hornisgrinde, at around 1164 metres the highest mountain in the northern Black Forest. From there you have a magnificent view over the Black Forest, the Rhine plain and sometimes even as far as the Alps. 

 

Facilities

Combined living/dining room 

The Scandinavian-inspired living room in the colours of nature is a skilful blend of modern and vintage. You can relax comfortably on a 3-seater sofa or an adjustable TV armchair. The dining area has a large serving hatch to the kitchen so that the table can be set quickly. Use the smart TV with streaming service and the Bluetooth digital radio for your own music.

Bedroom

The stylish ambience visually transports you to a Provençal country house. Your double bed (1.80 m x 2.00 m) has comfortable mattresses with topper and additional neck pillows on request. White cotton or linen bed linen and fitted sheets are provided. There are plenty of hangers in the wardrobe and there is more than enough storage space. A reading chair invites you to pick up an exciting book before going to bed. 

Yoga room with sauna

What a luxury: your private Asian-style yoga room offers over 20 m² of space, an infrared sauna and plenty of room for your exercises. A yoga mat and thera-bands are provided. Use the relaxation lounger or the inviting cosy corner for a little nap in between.

Balcony and garden

When the weather is nice, you'll love spending time on the large covered balcony with dining area or your own sunbathing area in the garden. Look forward to lounge furniture for soaking up the sun, snoozing, reading and enjoying cool drinks. The balcony leads directly to the garden via a staircase with teak loungers, soft cushions, towelling towels and parasol. Warm fleece blankets are provided so that you can also enjoy cooler evenings outside. 

Kitchen 

Your lavishly equipped fitted kitchen with brand-name appliances welcomes you in bright colours and, like the living/dining room, in a fresh, modern retro look. Take a seat on the bar stools at the breakfast bar and enjoy your first coffee from the Nespresso machine with milk frother.

Bathroom

Enjoy the large walk-in shower in the elegant bathroom with high-quality sanitary facilities. The wooden washbasin has plenty of storage space for your personal items. Fluffy hand and shower towels and bathrobes are provided, as well as a washing machine with drying rack, hairdryer, magnifying mirror and dispenser filled with natural cosmetic liquid soap and shower gel.
